- Duties
- Family with B8 and B11 are looking for a reliable and responsible after-school nanny to care for their children and help maintain a tidy home environment.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and able to balance childcare duties with light household tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare & Homework Support:
Supervise the children doing their homework, ensuring they stay on track and complete their assignments.
Meal Preparation:
Some days there will be a prepared meal to heat in the microwave or oven, and you will prepare some veggies.
Clear up after afternoon tea, including dishes and wiping down kitchen surfaces.
Light Housekeeping & Tidying:
On arrival, hang out washing and unpack the dishwasher. Hand wash dishes if necessary.
Supervise the children to unpack their school bags and to tidy up any messes they may make during activities, homework, or playtime.
Ensure the kitchen is left clean and organised.
Child Supervision & Safety:
Meet the children from the school bus (at the end of the road) and take them home.
Ensure the children are safe, entertained, and engaged during the after-school period, with limited screen time.
Plan and supervise activities as needed, such as board games, card games, reading, playtime, outdoor games or gully exploration. On occasion, take them to the local playground or library.
Requirements:
*Previous experience as a nanny, babysitter, or in a similar childcare role would be ideal.
*Must be organised and comfortable with light housekeeping tasks.
*Confident in preparing afternoon tea, heating meals and preparing veggies.
*Able to assist with homework and create a calm, positive environment for learning.
*Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
*First Aid certification (current or willing to take a first aid course - we will reimburse the cost)
*Full drivers licence and reliable vehicle (car seat will be supplied for younger child)
*Able to commit to these hours for the calendar year
